inspired by my great aunt's extensive emlékkönyv, a photo album encompassing the lives of her family, immigrants from Hungary fleeing the 1956 revolution, emlékkönyv explores the way in which scrapbooks and photo albums can be windows to land and bodies lost to time

in helen's case, her dementia hastens her memory loss, and these photo albums not only stand as an artistic expression, but a way for her to reconnect with scenes  once familiar to her.
